    The current Republican Party is a political party in chaos, doomed to failure. It has no idea where to go. It has lost view of where it began with the Founding Fathers principles, over 200 years ago. The Republican Party stopped working well together as party members pushed for ideas that conflict with the Party mission. Team work is important for success filled teams to come together to work for a common good. There is conflict on what Republicans are expected to deliver. There isn’t a clear enough definition of what is a Republican, or what traits Republicans stand for.

    Step One to defining what is a Republican, in advance of rolling out this marketing strategy, is to brand the Republican Party, Team Republican. Chances of a Team Republican working well together and growing together increases the more there is the effort to get things right at the beginning. The strategy is to lead in a gentle way with kindness.

    The Founding Fathers got their vision for America correct at the beginning. What the Founders could not anticipate, was their rules would be devalued with layers of interpretation disregarding their efforts. With all of that the GOP is the same team cannibalising itself with Party members working against each other. Republicans don’t have clarity on the problems Team GOP is going to face. Republicans have lost perspective on where the Republican Party began.

    Put a face on our Team dream. This is crucial. Write a simple Republican Bill of Rights. Write a Republican’s Creed. Embrace the party that was once exceptional.

Take these steps to build the Republican Party:

* Build an organization of teams that support the organization

* Clearly communicate expectations of outcomes

* Identify key relationships .

* Build relationships with other teams

* Set a clear direction

* Share a common sense of purpose

* Empower team members to understand the function of the team

* Understand how their contribution plays a part in the team

* Gather and analyze information relevant to the team’s goals

* Provide resources the teams can access.

* Create a team structure that empowers team members.

* Create shared expectations

* Identify resources

* Organize sources

* Work on how all teams do their work

* Monitor external factors

* Bring team members together.

* Make adjustments quickly as needed

Define the future, setting reaching it in motion by organizing the team’s composition, structure, hierarchy and function; Communicate with respect, trust and honesty. Listen and be listened to; Accurately perceive what is happening by identifying issues, assessing what is and isn’t working, admit when mistakes are made; Deal appropriately when disputes occur; Diversity brings creativity to the table; Demonstrate courage to thrive. Transform through innovative thought; Share work and responsibilities; Demonstrate a strong work ethic assuring things are done well and on time; Lead the way by showing and sharing appreciation of the team.

Define the roles of each member and the plan is in place.

The Republican Party’s role is to explain the Party is formed to accomplish a specific goal and spell out what the end result will be. Leaders must define the team they want to build. Write a creed to facilitate the team understanding their fit within the context of the Republican’s goals, principles, vision and values.

    It is written in the Bible, Proverbs 11:14, “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory.” Republican leadership must lead by living the plan’s Ten Points, not espousing them by rote. Square One that starts here:

  1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me
  2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image
  3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain
  4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy
  5. Honour thy father and thy mother
  6. Thou shalt not kill
  7. Thou shalt not commit adultery
  8. Thou shalt not steal
  9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour
  10. Thou shalt not covet

    Alongside following the lesson of The Ten, the next first step is reminding Legislators of the auspicious founding of America, is to not just use loose words to talk about IN GOD WE TRUST, referencing those four words that sit above the Speaker’s Desk in the House Chamber and on America’s currency. The step is to  make it mandatory for Legislators to do a daily pilgrimage to their respective Chamber, to gather with respect and true belief, in the House and/or Senate chamber for their Chaplain’s prayer, which is currently piped in to Legislators offices where staffers and Legislators don’t even bother to acknowledge “Prayer is in the House.” Prayer has become a footnote on the House or Senate webday. Visiting faith leaders are surprised to find they are not speaking to a room of people but rather to a room of empty seats. That is what faith  in the men and women legislating in government, in the Party, has become. Empty seats.

     Legislators set aside differences for photo ops heralding National Days of Tragedy, crossing the aisle, crossing arms, holding hands. Make this expression of kumbaya, a daily expression. Make it mandatory for Legislators be present in the Chamber, daily, as prayer is said with by their House and Senate Chaplain. Make Legislators stop their day to day business, for this moment of introspection. The path to the meditation room off the Crypt is not as worn in as is the Center of the Capitol Marker in the Crypt. To answer ‘who goes there’? Few. If it is mandatory for Legislators leave their offices to vote in their Chambers, make attendance at this Daily Prayer mandatory, in the least, as a show of respect for a man of Faith, standing under Four Words. If it is truthful the Legislators believe those words, “In God We Trust,” remove God from being a talking point in government to becoming the Party’s reality for the Nation. Lead by example. The Party will come together. The other side of the aisle will, too.

    Set these basics in place and the Republican Party will have the formula for building a highly successful America by successfully building We The People the Founding Fathers’ envisioned.
