Janus Korczak was the pen name for Henryk Goldszmit Henryk would not leave his orphans despite world outcry to save himself when the Nazis came to take his 192 children from the Grossaktion Warsaw orphanage Dom Sierot to the Holocaust death camp Treblinka. President Obama chose children as his lead within a short time of entering office. To this date he takes counsel from kids. Korczaks KING MATT story lives telling the outcome of a world run by children- chaos- out of the mouths of babes.

First Lady Michelle Obama is hosting the First Kids’ “State Dinner” Monday in DC.
54 kids, ages 8-12 representing all US states, three territories & the District of Columbia will eat a luncheon featuring healthy recipes from the HEALTHY LUNCHTIME CHALLENGE w a performance by Nickelodeon’s music group Big Time Rush in support of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Initiative. LETS MOVE is marketed as aiming to help solve the childhood obesity w/in a generation. Back in May parents were invited 2 create w their child an original Healthy Affordable Tasty lunchtime recipe following USDA’s ChooseMyPlate.gov nutritional guidelines.


A panel of judges from organizations teamed up w FLOTUS chose the 54 winners. The Judges are White House Assistant Chef Sam Kass; Chef José Andrés; Marshall and Alex Reid, authors of Portion Size Me; Epicurious Editor-in-Chief Tanya Steel; and representatives from the USDA and the Department of Education. The winners & parents will enter w the Kids’ “State Dinner” Luncheon through the White House Booksellers entrance 2 the main White House. Michelle Obama will deliver brief remarks @ the luncheon.
