www.826dc.org and the Red Cross. 826dc is celebrating its second anniversary November 4 from 6:00-8:00 at Living Social 918 F Street NW DC. The Hello Kitty campaign was conceived and launched before Hurricane Sandy hit. Campaign coordinators said it wasn’t a second thought to include the Red Cross as beneficiary of the profits from sold goods. It wasn’t just good marketing, it is the heart of Hello Kitty, a girl with a heart bigger than she is. A life size Hello Kitty is guided around with her real life friend all the while meeting her public, posing and just doing what any girl kitty who has never spoken does- waves and kisses and hugs her constituents of all ages from all countries. A Hello Kitty school bus painted up with Hello Kitty and friends parked outside where fans could pose in front of. Hello Kitty for President bumper stickers were affixed to car bumpers. An equal opportunity candidate Hello Kitty is ok with her stickers alongside both Republican and Democrat candidates. After all Hello Kitty knows she will win paws down since cream always rises to the top. As for her campaign slogan, Hello Kitty, no marionette herself says, it is simple “It isn’t about the right or the left. It is all about the Purr.” www/sanrio.com/hellokitty2012
