On the 225th birthday of the significant piece of American history the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and other legislation passed by the first session of Congress, complete with George Washingtons personal annotations will be on view in the Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center through the national observance of George Washington’s birthday on February 18, 2013. Washingtons first draft of the Constitution along with Washingtons hand-written notes recording the Convention’s handling of each proposed clause giving an unprecedented view of history through the mind and actions of America’s first president will be on loan from the National Archives and Records Administration. Worldwide attention this summer focused on this rare volume when it was offered for sale breaking auction world records for an American historical document.  George Washington’s copy of the Constitution was unveiled September 17th at Mount Vernon Viginia- George Washingtons estate
