A 1 cent copper coin minted in Philadelphia in 1793 the 1st year the US made its OWN coins went @ auction 4 the most a US copper coin ever sold 4 @ the Florida United Numismatists coin show & annual convention. Halperin said a five-dollar gold piece from 1829 also was sold. 1 of the coins owners was Louis Eliasberg Sr a Baltimore Banker nicknamed the KING OF COINS having assembled a collection w @ least 1 of every US Mint made coin. Though other 1793 coins were present this coin called the CHAIN CENT because of its chain of linked rings representing the Solidarity of the States later changed 2 a wreath because some said the chain was symbolic of slavery was NEVER in circulation
